Fly Fishing Heaven
Day 1: Arrive Fiordland (D)On arrival at Queenstown Airport you will be met and transferred to your helicopter for scenic transfer to Fiordland Lodge. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the lodge.

Full-Day Guided Fly Fishing by 4WD.
Fiordland is world renowned for the quality of its fly fishing. The crystal clear unpolluted waters are managed as a wild fishery producing good stocks of large Brown and Rainbow trout. Fiordland Guides specialize in upstream sight fishing and all fishing is catch and release. Amongst stunning Fiordland scenery, you will experience true wilderness fishing on over 40 remote rivers, all within a 1 ½-hour drive from the lodge.
Day 3: Fiordland (B/L/D)
Fly to Glenorchy where you will board a jet boat for a journey up the Dart River Valley to Sandy Bluff. Pass through Lord of the Ring’s movie locations into the Rockburn Chasm. After a guided wilderness walk, your helicopter will be waiting to whisk you away on an unforgettable flight. Discover a labyrinth of valleys and mountains as you fly west over the Main Divide of the Southern Alps on an unforgettable flight to Milford Sound. Land, take a stroll and absorb the natural beauty of Fiordland.
Your flight then sweeps the full length of the fiord until you reach the rugged West Coast offering a unique opportunity to view seals in their natural colonies. Experience a glacier landing before touching down for some southern hospitality including lunch at a secluded location in the mountains.

Full Day Guided Wilderness Fly Fishing by Helicopter.
This morning travel by road to Queenstown Airport to connect with your flight to Christchurch where you will be met on arrival by your driver and transferred by road via the Lewis Pass and Hanmer Springs.

Full Day Guided Wilderness Fly Fishing by Helicopter
This morning travel by road to Nelson Airport for a flight to Wellington, where you will be met upon arrival by your local driver for a sightseeing tour of Wellington. Your tour includes a visit to Te Papa – The Museum of New Zealand and time for lunch at a local café.
This afternoon fly to Rotorua, where you will be met by your driver upon arrival and transferred to your lodge.
Rotorua is the center of an extensive thermal region and geysers, bubbling mud pools and steaming, sulfurous lakes give evidence of nature's frightening yet fascinating power. Rotorua and the surrounding lakes provide some of the world's best trout fishing. The Maori culture contributes greatly to the attractions of this holiday city.

Day 9: Rotorua (B/L/D)

Treetops Lodge boasts access to private rivers and also has its own small lakes. You guides have access to exclusive sections of local rivers that will provide you with some of the best Rainbow Trout fishing in New Zealand.
Day 10: Rotorua (B/L/D)
Lake Tarawera and Sacred Mountain Cruise and Fly
Lake Tarawera is renowned for its trophy sized Rainbow Trout (up to 15lbs). Relax on board your very own luxury vessel and experience the excitement of catching these prized fish, a number of methods are used including fly-fishing, harling, jigging and trolling. Once landed the trout can be enjoyed sashimi style on board the vessel or taken back to your lodge for dinner, or if you prefer you can release your prize back into the wild but not before taking a photo as proof of your expertise.
In the afternoon cruise to the northern end of the lake to visit Hot Water Beach for a swim in the natural thermal waters and enjoy lunch and afternoon tea on board.
From Hot Water Beach, you will be collected by helicopter for a Landing on the Sacred Mount Tarawera where you can try to comprehend the earth forces which created this awe inspiring volcanic icon. Standing on the summit offers unobstructed views of the volcano's magnificent craters, domes and the Lakes district. From Mount Tarawera, your pilot will return you to your lodge.
Day 11: Rotorua - Poronui Station (B/D)
Your driver will transfer you by road to Poronui Ranch via Huka Falls and Lake Taupo.
Stop at Huka Falls and board the your jet boat for a thrilling ride to the base of Huka Falls and enjoy the sensation as you slide past cliffs and trees at 80km per hour. Your 30 minutes of fun and excitement takes you along a beautiful river environment, lined with native bush and natural hot springs. You’ll travel up to the very base of the Huka Falls, past the Wairakei Thermal Power Station, Prawn Park and the Aratiatia Dam.
Continue through Taupo and along the Napier-Taupo Highway until reaching Poronui Ranch.
The landscape at Poronui is as varied as the sky is big. Crystal clear mountain water tumbles through forests of beech and native ferns then twists its way through alpine meadows of wild grasses on the valley floor. In the summer months, as mayflies settle on the water’s surface, fishing becomes religion at Poronui Ranch.

The helicopters based at Poronui Ranch provide easy flights to many of New Zealand’s most famous mountain streams. While legendary rivers like the Ngaruroro and the Rangitikei are just in the next valley, there are many more remote streams which go unnoticed and un-fished, only a short flight away.
*Optional Float Trips at Poronui Ranch: Vast areas of New Zealand are wilderness, and many streams remain relatively unexplored - hardly known to other anglers because getting there is just too difficult. Poronui offers guests daily float trips onto these waters with their licensed rafting guides. For the more adventurous angler, seeking the ultimate outdoor experience, we suggest staying overnight at one of their streamside camps. The experience of a star littered sky above, the crackling of the campfire, the taste of bush brewed coffee and the sound of nearby flowing water - holding the promise of tomorrow - is unbeatable.
Day 14: Poronui (B/L/D)
Full Day Hawke’s Bay Wine Touring
A tour designed for those serious about wine and who are looking for a more intimate experience of the regions wineries. Meet winemakers and people passionate about wine. Learn about Terroir and how this creates different wine styles. Your guide is personable and very knowledgeable about Hawke's Bay wine and will design a tour with your preferences in mind. Wine education, regional history and knowledge of the finest restaurant food in the region are important elements of your tour.
Day 15: Depart Poronui (B)
Transfer to Auckland by scenic flight or scheduled air from Taupo and connect with your onward flight.
