Brazilian Highlights - 11 days
You will be met at Rio de Janeiro’s Airport and taken to your hotel. After a relaxing morning and lunch, you will visit the Corcovado, where the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer reaches out its arms across the city. A visit to the Tijuca National Park, a lush Atlantic Rain Forest and one of the largest urban forests in the world, is also a must. At night, a traditional Samba show is not to be missed.After breakfast you will be driven to Botafogo beach to take a two-stage cable car ride to the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain and admire the magnificent panorama of the Guanabara Bay. A historic city-tour follows, visiting the wonderful Botanic Gardens, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and finishing the day with a scenic sunset at the famous Ipanema Beach. (B)

Transfer to the airport. Flight to Foz do Iguassu. Free day to enjoy the Iguassu National Park and the falls. You will visit the Brazilian side of the falls, including the Macuco Safari, a trail amidst the lush Atlantic Rain Forest where several species of birds and animals can be observed in the wild. At the end of the path, a boat tour which will take you almost underneath the Falls. This is certainly an unforgettable experience. (B)
In the morning you will visit the Argentinean side of the Falls, where the astonishing "Devil's Throat" is located, the biggest fall at the Carataras. (B)

In the morning, check out and transfer to the airport to take the flight to Salvador.
After checking in you leave on a guided city-tour through the most important historical monuments of the town, including the famous Pelourinho neighborhood with its famous golden churches and colonial buildings. Also visit the Lacerda Elevator and the Modelo Market. Free evening in Salvador. The Olodum folkloric group show at the Pelourinho is not to be missed (Tuesdays and Sundays).
(B)After breakfast you leave on a panoramic tour of the wonderful Salvador shore. Free afternoon to enjoy the town. (B)
Early flight to Manaus and transfer by boat to your jungle lodge. There you explore the Amazon River, the world’s largest river system discharging one-fifth of the earth’s fresh water, and the grandiosity of its jungle. A night safari will take you through the forest, where you can see crocodiles paralyzed by the light of the boat. (B) (L) (D)

Day 10: Amazon 
After breakfast you navigate down the Negro River to the “Meeting of the Waters.” Here the black waters of the Rio Negro meet the brown waters of the Rio Solimões, traveling together for several miles without mixing, creating the Amazon River. Return to the lodge in the afternoon. (B) (L) (D)
Day 11: Amazon – USA
Check out and transfer to the Manaus airport to take your flight back home. (B)
