Istanbul, Cappadocia & Izmir
Day 1: Istanbul
Upon arrival at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport you will be met and taken to your Hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Istanbul for 3 nights.
Day 2: Istanbul (B/L)
After breakfast, leave for a full day tour. Visit the Blue Mosque, the Saint Sophia Museum, the Topkapi Palace Museum and the famous bazaars.
Day 3: Istanbul (B/L)
Enjoy a further tour of the city, including a cruise on the Bosphorus by ferry. Disembark at Saiyer at the entrance to the Black Sea. In the afternoon, visit the Asiatic side of Istanbul including the Beylerbeyl Palace and Campica Hill with a panoramic view of the city.
Day 4: Istanbul – Ankara – Cappadocia (B/L/D)
Transfer back to Istanbul airport for your flight to Ankara. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken into the city. Visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Haci Bayram Mosque. After lunch, drive to Cappadocia and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Cappadocia for 2 nights.
Day 5: Cappadocia (B/L/D)
Embark on a full day tour of Cappadocia. Visit the Goreme Open Air Museum with its rock carved churches, then visit the Citadel of Uchisar for a panoramic view of the region. In the afternoon, visit the villages of Avanos and Zelve.
Day 6: Cappadocia - Izmir (B/L)
Visit the Underground City of Derinkuyu or Kaymakli. Continue to Ankara by road, then fly to Izmir, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Izmir for 2 nights.
Day 7: Izmir (B/L)
Spend a full day visiting Ephesus – one of the greatest sites in the world! Visit the ruins of the antique city, the Basilica of Saint John, the House of the Virgin May and the Museum. Also visit the Brothel!
Day 8: Izmir – Istanbul (B)
You will be taken to the airport for the flight back to Istanbul and onward travels.
