Day 1 - USA/Delhi
Evening flight to Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, where you will be met and transferred to the Oberoi Hotel for the first two nights.
Day 3 - Delhi
After breakfast, tour Old and New Delhi. Visit the 300-year old walled city, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, the Presidential Palace in New Delhi, Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, and the 4th century uncorroded Iron Pillar. B
Day 4 - Delhi/Jaipur
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Jaipur and the Raj Vilas Palace for two nights. BLD
Day 5 - Jaipur
Morning sightseeing of Jaipur will include the Hawa Mahal, Jai Singh's Observatory and the City Palace, now a museum. In the afternoon, ride up to the fortress-palace of Amber on elephant back. BD
Day 6 - Jaipur/Agra
Drive to Agra, visiting en route Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted city built by Emperor Akbar the Great. Visit the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jehan to memorialize his beloved wife. Visit Agra Fort and spend the night at the Mughal Sheraton hotel. BLD
Day 7 - Agra/Khajuraho
Mid-morning flight to Khajuraho. Afternoon sightseeing of Khajuraho's many temples covered with hundreds of exquisitely sculptured figures of gods, goddesses and erotic couples. Overnight at the Jass Oberoi. BLD
Day 8 - Khajuraho/Varanasi
Fly to Varanasi today, transfer to Clarks Hotel. Varanasi city sightseeing includes the Bharat Mata Temple and Emperor Aurangazeb's Masque. Continue to Sarnath, where Buddha preached his first sermon. BLD
Day 9 - Varanasi/Kathmandu
Morning boat ride on the holy Ganges River, then afternoon flight to Kathmandu. Transfer for two nights at the Hotel Soaltee. B
Day 10 - Kathmandu
Morning sightseeing of Nepal's capital includes the Temple of the Living Goddess and Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Continue to Swayambhunath, one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. Tonight, enjoy dinner with evening performance of Nepalese dance. BD
Day 11 - Kathmandu/Delhi
Weather permitting, this morning you will have a chance to take an optional mountain flight to view Mt. Everest. Afternoon flight to Delhi and transfer to the Radisson Hotel for overnight. B
Day 12 - Delhi/USA
Departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home. B
