Visit Vanuatu with the capital city of Port Vila on the island of Efate, your port of entry.  Snorkel or dive off the nearby islands only a short ferry ride from Vila, or set your sights further afield to Espiritu Santo, home of some of the best wreck-diving in the world as well as the place where Michener penned Tales of the South Pacific.  Continue further out to the island of Tanna with its active volcano and delicious coffee or Pentecost, the place where bungy-jumping first began when young men were required to leap off high towers bound at the ankles with long vines as a rite of passage.
