Jewel of Africa Guided Safari
Botswana - “The Jewel of Africa”
“One of the last wild natural areas in Africa”
14 – 25 April 2009
Sharon – Esplanade Tours’ West Coast Sales Representative, invites you to join her on a 12-day safari to Botswana & Victoria Falls.

Makgadikgadi National Park is where we start our adventure. Just after the March rains the water still flows in the Pans and in addition to the lion, zebra, wildebeest, bushbuck, leopard, hyena, impala, kudu, jackal, porcupine, genet and caracal, to name a few, the crocodiles, pods of hippos, and the water birds are amazing. Leroo La Tau Safari Lodge sits on a cliff above the riverbed giving us a superb vantage point for viewing the wildlife that concentrate around the water hole in front of the lodge.
From Makgadikgadi we fly on to Xugana Island Lodge located in an area widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta. Mokoro trips in eco-friendly dugout canoes, combined with walking, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession, give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding.
Our last stop in Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is our final stop. Relax on your private balcony overlooking a waterhole. Activities include a private guided walk through the rain forest along the Falls, a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi, shopping at the crafts village for wonderful local gifts and an optional flight over the Falls.
Pricing: $5390 per person sharing plus airfare. $1000 deposit to reserve your space.
